Talk About Changes
I leave for four months and so much happens: people break up, find new boyfriends/girlfriends, my great aunt died, a close buddy got sick, a good friend is getting married, one of my closest buddies might be moving to St. Louis :( (TIM NOOOOOO!!! Okay, I'm happy for you, really) my cousin decided to go to school in Waco, my mother is on her way to recovery in her battle against depression....I know I'm going to be amazed continually as the year progresses. It's wild to me. And this amazes me as well:

Postiness
Sorry I haven't posted lately but I've been out of town for three weekends in a row. I think my pictures tell the story the best so check them out. I've been to the Bongwha Mushroom Festival and the nearby forest where the mushrooms are picked. They're rare and quite expensive and have magical properties of healing and other such stuff. So they say anyways. I got to be in the ceremonial tug of war parady thing and got to dress up in traditional peasant hanbok (clothes). I even wore rope shoes. They wore out easily, cause they're made for show these days. I got to stay in a traditional korean house, with floor heating, wow, it's so cozy!!! The house and surrounding gardens were amazing! I took lots of pictures for my sister for inspiration for her design work. I spent the Chusok holiday with Hanna and her family. I got to eat, sleep, eat, sleep, eat, sleep, play with the kids, and eat some more. It was everything I hoped it would be. And lastly this past weekend I went to Sorak Mountain. It was awesome, the people were bomb diggity and I had an all around super awesome time. We went to the pier first, then the beach, they saw this cool boardwalk thing they had, then ate dinner at Grace's aunt's house, met her aunt, uncle and grandma (she was soooo cute!). The next day we woke up at 5:30 am to take a taxi up to the base of the mountain to take the cable car at 7am. You wouldn't believe the amount of people there that early. There's serious competitiveness in tourism here. The park was amazing, the buddha statue was amazingly huge. I met some great people, saw a temple, and sat through five hour of traffic trying to get back into Seoul. But it was all so worth it! I even got to sing karaoke style in the Live Cafe across the street from the condo we stayed in. I danced with a drunk middle aged korean lady. I sung Dolly Parton 9 to 5, No Doubt Don't Speak and Sweet Child o' Mine to two tables (the place was pretty empty). It was totally outside and there were bonfires keeping things toasty. And before that extra entertainment, much of the group met outside and chatted til late and laughed and laughed. Man I can't tell you how good it felt to be a part of that trip:) Check out the pics!

Korean Pop Group
These guys are called Big Bang. I just watched a video of theirs on MTV. Apparently these guys are all of about 17 years old. Hmmm I wonder how they go to school, their mommies are probably pissed. Or, they're happy because they're rich and famous. Who knows.... The gangster thing is just funny. I doubt they've ever seen an african american person in real life ever. It's so weird here. Enjoy!
