  Roommate Search
Hey guys I wanted to let everyone know that I'm looking for a roommate (just in case you didn't know...hahaha). If you have any friends that you think would get along with me then please tell them to contact me. I'd prefer a female that goes to Gateway if at all possible, and someone closer to my age.

  Head Problems
This week and this past week I've been having a migraine every other day and it's maddening. Today I stayed home from work and slept the entire day and I mean the entire day. I just got up 45 min ago. I feel like a zombie...ugh... But I'm headache free and I can clean my poor house that gets neglected when I have a spell like this. I've already mopped the kitchen. Go me!

Yesterday was an interesting day. Tim and I were supposed to eat and then see the Love Bites 80's power ballad sing-a-long at the drafhouse. Well stuff came up for Tim and he ended up cancelling on me. I told him he could still make it for the movie because it started pretty late. So I took myself out to dinner at Enoteca Vespaio, it's Vespaio's casual sister restaurant next door. I had an amazing dinner, rigatoni and these awesome meatballs I swear I've never had them any better. I totally recommend this restaurant. YUM! And the service is great! But then Tim called as I was heading to the theater and he said he was on his way. I saved him a seat and we had an awesome time. You have no idea how awesome it was. There's just no greater satisfaction, for me at least, than screaming Pour Some Sugar on Me by Def Leopard while eating chocolate cake and ice cream. And being around many other ladies in such a state as myself, it was community at it's best. Thank you Alamo Draft House for being so much more than just a place that plays movies.

  Hata
I have a really difficult class and one particular girl who is super moody. She goes from showing a photo of her sibling too accusing me of being a hater. Kids like these are so hard to work with. It takes alot of strength. But even at the end of the day I know she has many obstacles. She has weight to deal with, minority in a super white school, and special ed issues. So I try and not take it personally when she's really disrespectful. And no sweetie, I'm a lover not a hata or I wouldn't be teaching high school. duh!

  The Grind
Yeah, so it has started to sink in that I'm not getting paid for this...ah well. I had a crappy last week and weekend of lots of migraines. It's getting super old. When I get migraine after migraine after migraine I just want to throw up my hands. I wonder how I will make it as a teacher and then I remember that I've made it this far. I made it as a teacher assistant, and that is what sicks days are for anyways. Buck up little camper. I can't wait for yoga today. I did get myself into my first headstand this past saturday. It rocked!!

  Daily Lesson Plans
I've been hard at work doing my student teaching this semester, creating lesson plans and all that jazz. I get along with my cooperating teacher quite well and I think that I will learn a lot from this gig. I wish there was more to report but things are going smoothly and honestly I'm a bit bored right now. Except I am loving my ashtanga yoga! I can't say how awesome I feel afterwards. I go when I haven't had a migraine that day. I wish I could go every day. It's nice to feel committed to something and to really enjoy something physical. I haven't in a long time. Yeah so Valentine's Day is coming and being the hopeless romantic that I am I bought a couple of girl movies, like How to Deal with Mandy Moore and Before Sunset with Ethan Hawke and Julie Delpy. Hey they were like four bucks each, don't you judge me!! I also bought Shawn of the Dead. And Before Sunset is a Richard Linklater film, the austin guy who did Dazed and Confused, so there. My mom and dad came to Austin yesterday to look at cars and celebrate my mom's birthday. We ate steak, like good Texans do and talked each other's ears off. It was really nice to see my parents. I miss them and often wished we lived closer. Also, I'm planning a trip to Europe this May and I plan on going to grad school full time this summer to get some credits out of the way. Before too long, I'll have a masters degree...oooooooo....super
