Sorry for not writing much, I've been having to re-evaluate my life and my stress causing habits. I'm still figuring out what they are and I'm not totally sure how to get back on track. Sometimes we go through these moments in life where we are overwhelmed and need to change our ways. One thing I have learned in life that change is hard, and growing takes work.
What did you do in 2004 that you’d never done before?
Became a teacher assistant and started grad school to get my teaching certification.
Did anyone close to you die?
Yes, my grandmother and grandfather, both of whom I miss so much. I was there with my sister when my grandma passed on. That was one of the hardest things I've ever been through. A special thank you to Evans for being there for me. You are a truly kind man.
What would you like to have in 2005 that you lacked in 2004?
More life balance and exercise, more faith that things are as they are supposed to be.
What date from 2004 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
July 21st because I got fired for the first time in my life, quite a humbling experience, and very unfair.
What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Opening my heart to two wonderful, sweet people. Finding a new career.
What was your biggest failure?
Losing closeness with several of my friends.
What was the best thing you bought in 2004?
A three hole puncher, although it wasn't until 2005 that I realized it wasn't broken but it was only two small plastic peices that needed to be removed. Wow, I'm a dork.
Where did most of your money go?
Food and entertainment.
Compared to this time last year, are you:
Older or wiser? Wiser.
Thinner or fatter? About as fat, although I was breifly skinny due to a medication I took, too bad it also made me dumber.
Richer or poorer? Definitely poorer, I almost think of it as a game with the huge differences I've had in salaries since I graduated.
What do you wish you’d done more of?
Exercise consistently
Put more time into creating new friendships
What do you wish you’d done less of?
stressing out
What was your favorite TV program?
I saw some episodes of Arrested Development on DVD. I like Law and Order but don't watch it religiously.
Do you hate anyone now that you didn’t hate this time last year?
Hate is yucky. I don't hate anyone. I certainly have a large dislike for the @#%$ who fired me.
What was your greatest musical discovery?
Bob Schneider rules and he's very nice in person.
Top 3 Music releases in 2004 in your opinion?
huh. I wish I were on top of things. I like the Garden State soundtrack and Bob Schneider's I'm Good Now, oh and I can't forget U2's latest named something about a bomb
What was your favorite film of this year?
Garden State, Napoleon Dynamite, and I Heart Huckabees
What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
Better decision making, patience
How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2004?
Sloppy beyond sloppy. I need new clothes. Period.
What kept you sane?
my small group and church and my roommate Hanna
Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
I could care less. Except I love Bono.
What political issue stirred you the most?
I hate politics, they make me ill.
Who did you miss?
I regularly miss Freida, Cat, Renee, Evans, Josh.
Tell of a valuable life lesson learned in 2004:
Things don't always turn out how you'd expect or like them too. To have faith that things happen for a reason. And if you don't like your job you need to find one you do. Life is too short for work to run you into the ground.
