Busy Life
Hey I'm still here...just super busy. I miss my blog. We were such good friends once. I wrote when I was sad, I wrote when I was super happy. I don't write when I'm really busy, poor blog gets forgotten. Oh blog, I still love you, never forget that I do. I'm trying to become a teacher and balancing two grad classes and full-time work is tough. Trying to decrease the frequency of every other day migraines is hard. Trying to eat right, love my friends both near and far away, difficult. I want to be everything to everyone and I can't. Then there's social events and being a leader at church and phewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!!! Oh blog I'm sure you understand, I hope you will still be there when x-mas rolls around and I will actually have a real break from school and work.

My Grandparents
Many of you know my sweet grandparents passed away this past March a week apart. I miss them so much and think about them often. I've managed to fit (although I'm not sure how) many remembrances of theirs into my small place. I also gathered a few special photos that our family hold dear and asked Evans to scan them so that I could post them on the internet. What a sweetie, he gave the disk to me a few weeks ago. Here's one of my absolute favorites. James and Helen Moore, barely married, about twenty and eighteen years old respectively. James is in his Marines uniform and Helen is in a cute forties suit.

Cat's Coming to Visit!!
If you are in Austin, please come and meet my dear friend Catherine from Seattle. This happy event will be a BYOBBQ (bring your own BBQ or stuff to grill) potluck on Sat, Sept 18th from 11am to 2pm. Bring some beer, bring some coolers. I'll have the grill hot and ready!

Celebration This Friday
I want to have a informal celebration for me getting a job, it's been quite a struggle but I feel so blessed and I'm really loving my job.
Sooooo, let's meet at my house this Friday night at 6:15 to carpool downtown. Bring a buck for parking since we're carpooling unless we're lucky and find a free meter. Bring some cash if you'll be wanting dinner during the movie too.
The entertainment for the evening will be at the Alamo Drafthouse Downtown:
Mr. Sinus: Dirty Dancing
Description:
"Nobody puts Baby in a corner!"
(1987, d. Emile Ardolino, PG-13, 96 min) Let the mockery of Mr. Sinus be the excuse you need to finally see (or see again) Patrick Swayze recite these immortal words. Starring a pre-nose-job Jennifer Grey (Ferris Bueller, It's Like...You Know) and a testosterone-laden Swayze (Red Dawn, Point Break), this sizzlingly cheesy tale of love and dance was the one movie John (of Mr. Sinus) swore he'd never subject to the Sinus treatment...UNTIL NOW! Dirty Dancing tells the story of a young girl's coming of age at a Catskills Resort in the early 60's. Grey is adorable as Baby, an idealistic young Jewish princess, and Swayze is at his ridiculous best as the macho dance instructor from the wrong side of the tracks. Featuring Jerry Orbach (Law and Order), Wayne Knight (Newman from Seinfeld) and a bevy of cheesy 80's hits on the soundtrack ("The Time of My Life", "She's Like the Wind"). Break out the capri pants and perms for this perfect end-of-summer movie. Read the Austin Chronicle article about the phenomenon of Mr. Sinus

Please email me or call me if you're planning on coming...It's going to be a blast!
